Airplane Photos:
I have been obsessed with airplanes since I was about 5, but I hate to actually fly. My first photos were of airplanes and many of my original photos are prints that have yet to be scanned. Over the years I have visited many aviation and military history museums and attended many airshows starting when I was about 10 years old, when my cub scout troop went to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Since then I have visited the Plane OF Fame and Yankee Air Museums in Chino, California, the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston, the San Diego Air And Space Museum, the Imperial War Museum in London, and the Pima Air Museum in Tuscon, among others. My favorite trip was a tour through the AMARC facility in Tuscon, often referred to as the "airplane graveyard" where literally thousands of aircraft have been destroyed, re-cycled, or returned to service since it's opening after World War II. With fuel prices what they are, airshows are now few and far between, but I will continue to add to the galleries as I have time.
